I’m Brooke. I’m honest. I’m pretty ridiculous. And I suspect that I may be slightly obnoxious. I like minor victories and the people who celebrate them. I like subtle beauty and the people who recognize it. I also like funny television and country music and fast cars with loud engines. One day, I want to use newsprint for purposes greater than cleaning windows at the seafood joint where I work. I’m afraid of things like spiders and stained teeth and overeating. Things like poor English, ketchup water and self-deprecation manifested in gooey poetry don’t scare me, but they’re just as unwelcome. I think life is so much better than a lot of people are willing to admit. |
